Joshua is currently dancing for Sir Richard Alston and in original west end production of Inala Live: A Zulu Ballet with Soweto Gospel Choir.
Previous, he has danced with Michael Clark Company; ’Come Been and Gone’, ‘Animal Vegetable Mineral’. Under the direction of Michael Clark, Joshua has danced for fashion labels Pringle of Scotland and Alexander McQueen at the V&A ‘Savage’ along side Kate Moss and also at Glastonbury Festival, Pyramid Stage.
He joined Matthew Bourne at New Adventures, for the creation and original tour of the double Olivier Award winning show ‘The Red Shoes’.
Joshua has also danced with Ballet Black [Arthur Pita, Mark Bruce, Will Tuckett and Christopher Hampson], English National Ballet [Romeo and Juliet] BalletBoyz [Apprentice] and was part of Phoenix Dance Theatre Choreographers and Composers Lab.
Joshua trained at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and Elizabeth Hill School of Dance and Drama.
Joshua has worked with Diesel [Matt Lambert, watch ad] ASOS [active wear campaign & do you campaign], GUCCI [second summer of love, New York], NOWNESS x Harrods, PUMA, BBC Arts, Matches Fashion, Mr Smith Paris as well as being featured in various fashion publications and fashion weeks.
He also collaborated with artist Anthea Hamilton, on her Tate commission ‘The Squash’, being the original performer in the installation featuring in Vogue.
Another highlight would be performing with music duo Goldfrapp, choreographed by Illyr, Tylor Deyn.
Joshua as a Lighting Designer, collaborating within the field of dance.
He is interested in creating a visual mood and environment. Sensitively giving space, allowing ambiguity, manipulation and heightening the use of all senses.
Joshua has had the opportunity to design lights and collaborate with Mark Baldwin OBE [Rite of Spring], Julie Cunningham, Kerry Nichols, Arielle Smith, Fraser Buchanan, Richard Chappell Dance, Mthuthuzeli November, to name a few. These projects have ranged from, large-scale works at Sadler’s Wells to small-bespoke performance settings.
